Does your ad agency social media?
Talking with a fellow social media geek, he was amazed (and appalled) that he attended a specialty ad agency conference targeted for agricultural companies. He asked the 32 companies represented at the conference if they blog. Not anything other than a simple blog.
Only 2 of 32 companies blog on a regular basis.
How can an ad agency understand their customer needs if they don’t use these tools themselves? How can a marketing company tell a client the ROI, tracking issues and potentially huge upside to the various social media opportunities?
Lesson – if you need help, check out their efforts. Does the company you are about to hire at least blog? Facebook? Twitter? LinkedIn?
And then track efforts? Follow alerts? Understand the difference between the paid and free tools? Know the tools to check for social mentions about your brand on a real time basis?
How about how to utilize coupons, polls and surveys?
There is so much more to social media than to just opening an account. Learn how to manage your content schedule. How to post timely offers. How to build a fan base. And how to track the ROI of your efforts.
BTW – have your competitors already hired eGrowth to do this for them already?
